Minnesota Anti-bullying Law Suggestions

Minnesota has the shortest anti-bullying law.[1] The U.S. Department of Education identified 16 key components in state bullying legislation. Minnesota ranks last with only two of the 16 components being addressed.[2]

For those looking to develop or revise anti-bullying legislation or policies, the Department of Education has produced a guidance document, "Anti-Bullying Policies: Examples of Provisions in State Laws".[3]

It is my hope that these resources will help to rectify our state's inadequate legislation on this matter.
